Onto better news last weekend we went up to the Grand Canyon and it was soooo much fun. I HIGHLY recommend it to all. We drove up to Williams on Friday afternoon and had dinner with Justin, Lester ( Ashley), Josh and Lynette (Justin's groomsmen and wife) at a GREAT italian restaurant. We stayed at the Grand Canyon Railway hotel. The weather was great not freezing cold but, snow still on the ground. The next morning we woke up walked outside of our hotel, watched a gun show and then hopped onto the train.
We upgraded our tickets to the "club class" our car was roomier with complimentary fruit, juice and a bar. After the train started the bar opened and of course everyone began to get up to get them a drink and the guy in front of us stood up and walked behind us to get himself a drink, And I thought "holy cow, is that Rayce?". Ryace was a friend of mine freshman and sophomore year in high school. Last time I saw him he had long hair, wore HUGE jnco jeans, and was 16. Anyways....it was him and great to see him. I showed him pics of Ashley's wedding and he showed me pics of Tommy's wedding (his best friend, and someone I have known since elementary school). Tommy and Ashley were married a day apart, small world. We chatted most of the way to the Grand Canyon it was fun to here what some of our high school friends have been up to. I switched high school after my sophomore year so, he knew a lot more than I did.
Once we arrived at the Grand Canyon we took a bus tour, well worth the money. After the tour we hopped back on the train to take us back to the hotel and drove home. It was a very relaxing trip.
This week I am sick but, we are getting ready to move and i am dreading and excited for the move. Dreading the move because if I dont get better I am screwed, and who likes to move? But, excited for our new place a bigger, kitchen, extra bedroom, and great neighbors. This weekend we are doing furniture swapping, I am taking some of my furniture from my parents, china hutch, boxes, etc., and a futon from my sister. My is taking our great-grandma's furniture set from our grandma, and my parents are borrowing a grandma's dining room table and chairs until they find some that they like. This weekend I am also going through everything at my parents house and am anticipating a HUGE trip to DI. And then the weekend after this it is moving day, grrrr, yay!

Ryan and I the night before the train ride. We are standing outside the POLAR EXPRESS, oooh.

THe Wild West Show before the train ride. Check out the guy in shorts they pulled him out of the crowd, hiking boots, cargo shorts, and a coat

Some of the "scary" cowboys.

Ryan played in the snow the WHOLE time. If I agreed we would be livng in Utah he LOVES the snow.
The guy in the green sweatshirt is Rayce

On our way home.

So Mark and I were talking the other day and we were saying how we need to take a trip to Arizona sometime. Probably not until after the baby comes (in March) that we could make it, but it would be so much fun if we did....
