Okay, so yeah its been awhile...
Ryan and I went on vacation. It was great. We flew into Salt Lake City and then rented a car. We were suppose to meet up with my friend Jocee but, unfortunately her plans changed :-( so, we had a few hours to kill so, I gave Ryan the grand tour of Temple Square in approximately 1.5 hours before which included dinner at the Lion House. Ryan had not been to Temple Square since he was about 8 years old. I absolutely LOVE Temple Square it is just an amazing place to be!
So, after our speedy grand tour we headed off to Newdale, ID home of my Grandma and Grandpa! It is about a 3.5 hour drive up there so, we got in about 11:00pm. I love being up at the farm. It is outside of a town that consists of approx 300 people it is so beautiful. My Grandpa who is 85 grew up in this house so, yes it is has been in our family for years. It is so beautiful and peaceful up there. Ryan and I just relaxed for a few days. Grandma taught me how to double (or is it triple?) crochet so, I am now making a baby blanket (no, not for me. For my friend who is expecting her first baby). Grandma and Grandpa and Ryan and I also chatted a lot, and looked at all of Grandma's books FILLED with pics. We did go up to Jackson Hole one day (they live only 90 min away) that is always fun to go to. But, the Alpine slide wasn't open yet! :-( I also, went to lunch with Annie and saw her cute new daughter. Annie and I went to preschool together and her Mom babysit me when we lived in Idaho. Anyways, it was great to see her maybe, next time we can do it in less than 8 years, like this last time! We also drove up to where the new Rexburg temple is being built. The outside is all but completed but, the grounds are still dirt. We also took Grandma and Grandpa to Chiz's! Chiz's is this great little place to eat in St. Anthony. And when I say it is little, I mean there are 22 bar stools to sit at and that is it! People line the wall and wait for their turn to eat. It is yummy! Ryan and I also helped Grandma and Grandpa finish planting the garden and plant flowers in the flower beds. Some of the cousins also came up so, I got to see some of them too. It was a great Idaho trip, unfortunately we could only stay for about 4 full days.
We then drove to Lake Steven which is just 30 miles outside of Seattle. I had never been to WA so, it was a good drive, everything is soooo GREEN. I guess that is what happens when it rains a lot. Ryan has an Aunt (Lynette) and Grandpa there. It was really good getting to know some of Ryan's other family. In Seattle, we did do some sight seeing but, mostly hung out with his Grandpa and Aunt, afterall, that is why we were there!
After 10 days we came home and once again started the boring routine of school and work. Although, we did have one more week before school started so, we did enjoy some free time. We almost did not know what to do with ourselves!!
So, I guess that is the end of this post I will update some more later. I promise I will post some pics and updates later. I just figured I had to get SOMETIHNG up.
Love to you all!
