2 kids pretending to be grown-ups...

Yesterday was a great Saturday! Why was yesterday so great? Well, for starters we had nothing scheduled for the whole day. NO 6 hour homework sessions, no scheduled activities, NOTHING. So, what did we do? We CLEANED. YES, we CLEANED. And it was fabulous. It is so nice to spend the day taking care of your home. Seriously, I can not tell you the last time my house cleaned all at once. Saturday morning we woke up started laundry, cut Ryan's hair, got ready for the day went to Costco, came home and cleaned. We cleaned bathrooms, dusted, vacuumed, mopped, swept, you name it we probably did it. I know I sound super dorky but, I am sure many of you understand. It was soooo nice to just have a day and get things done around the house. Last night after all of our cleaning we had friends come over for caramel candy apples. Great idea, yes? Well, it was a great idea it just had a few kinks. The culprit: Wer.ther's Original Carmel. You can throw the hard candies into the microwave and they melt with relative ease. HOWEVER, the minute you put the dang caramel on the apple it hardens right back up! So, it was quite hilarious watching everybody attempt to eat their ooey gooey chocolate, m&m, pretzel, covered apples with HARD caramel. But, fun was had anyways. For an FYI to you all be sure and buy the square squishy caramel, which we did attempt to buy they were just sold out :-(
